Hyve Dessert (Pvt) Ltd is Colombo’s most exclusive and upscale dessert bar, established on 22 October 2018 by Chanika Mallawarachchi and her siblings Rukshika Jayaratne and Minura Mallawarachchi. Hyve is a chic family run dessert bar that carries a range of signature decadent desserts, using premium ingredients.
Many of the desserts at Hyve are a blend of original family recipes, honed to perfection by the Dessert Bar’s Founder and Director Chanika Rodrigo. The Dessert Bar carries its own unique blend of hot chocolate, and is renowned for having the most divine Crème Brulee and an exquisite selection of cheesecakes.
Director and Chief Baking Officer of Hyve, Chanika has over a decade of experience in baking. Her attention to detail and perfectionism has given Colombo diners in a distinct range of signature desserts that marries tried and tested family recipes with bold contemporary twists, like the Kahlua Cheesecake, Hyve’s signature Chocolate Biscuit Pudding and it’s novel take on the classic tiramisu.
Hyve follows strict Food & hygiene standards with adherence to COVID-19 prevention guidelines issued by the authorities.
The Food Safety Management System is implemented with the support of appropriate documentation and records. All identified hazards are controlled through the implementation of hygiene control operations and HACCP plans, conforming statutory and regulatory requirements, authentic product requirements with mutually agreed food safety requirements of customers and consumers. Food safety policy is communicated to internal & external interested parties.
Implementation of the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System is checked periodically through planned verification and management reviews with a view to improve the system. The Food Safety Management System is periodically updated.
