Q) What are we doing about Covid-19 and food safety?

A) We are taking every precaution to ensure the safe handling, preparation and delivery of our celebration cakes. We are adhering to these best practices:

1. Hand washing after entering the shop and regularly throughout the day
2. Wearing clean chef’s coats and aprons, with the staff hair tied back
3. Wearing a face visor and face mask when processing and handling any food products
4. Wearing gloves when serving customers and when handling food
5. Frequent cleaning of the shop and high-touch points
6. Avoiding close contact with other staff as well as customers.
7. Training staff on new practices and updates from the government food standards agency

We will encourage our customers to:

1. sanitize their hands at our sanitizer stations on entering the shop
2. keep 2 metres apart from others
3. use contactless payment if possible

Q) The cake I want isn’t on your website, what can I do?
A) No problem! Contact Us via our contact form or socials and we will be delighted to provide a quote for a bespoke creation.

Q) How long do I need to order in advance?
A) Our beautiful cakes that are custom created according to our customers wishes can take several days to prepare based on the design. But if the design is not too complicated, we request that the order is made at least 3 days in advance.

Q) What size cake do I need?
A) We always advise the right size cake to feed the number of people attending your event or party. However, some cakes, especially the novelty-shaped cakes, are only available in one size due to the shape and style of the design. If you are having a large occasion, we suggest ordering a decorative cake for the guest of honour to cut into, along with a secondary cake that will be suitable for serving at a large function.

Q) How long do your cakes last?
A) The chocolate, vanilla sponge, red velvet and carrot cakes should last 5 days if they are stored at room temperature in a cool place. Once cut the cake should be kept airtight to retain the freshness.

Q) What about allergy information?
A) All our cakes are baked and decorated in an environment where nuts are present, especially marzipan. Unless specified otherwise, cakes may contain NUTS, MILK, EGGS, WHEAT, SOYA, GLUTEN, LUPIN, SESAME SEEDS & SULPHUR DIOXIDE.
